Humans
How can we be proud to be humans in 2023? We have stripped the essence of being a human and deteriorated for the worse.
Accept people as they are. Even homosexuals are humans. Even those who identify as animals are humans. Everyone has the right to express themselves.
Except the civilians of a war-torn country. The oppression of Gaza by the Israeli government is human.
The civilians of Palestine are not humans.
The children of Yemen are not humans.
The humans in Syria are not humans.
The humans (West) are telling us who to support and how. The humans told us not to discriminate against people who like their own sex. To support them instead. And the ones who didn’t are not considered humans.
But what about humans who just want to grow up without discrimination against them? What about the Palestinian children in the U.S. who are being stabbed because of their nationality?
The children of Palestine are as innocent as the children of Israel.
THE CIVILIANS OF PALESTINE ARE AS INNOCENT AS THE CIVILIANS OF ISRAEL.
We have no right to pick and choose what is right. If Ukraine was oppressed, then so are the people of Gaza. If we sympathize with Ukraine and defend the Israeli government, then we are influenced by the Western media. They succeeded. And humanity failed.
I’m not parading to know everything, but I know that the mainstream media is claiming all rights over wrongful actions as correct. If we cannot choose between homosexuals and heterosexuals, then we CANNOT choose between the civilians of any war-torn country. Because, in the end, the ones who are at fault never get blamed.
The war will end
The leaders will shake hands
The old woman will keep waiting
for her martyred son.
That girl will wait for her beloved husband
and those children will wait for their heroic father
I don’t know who sold our homeland
but I know who paid the price.
– Mahmoud Darwish
In this age that we claim to be so advanced, I mourn the progress we have made. I mourn the innocent people whose lives we have claimed are insufficient. I mourn the human race for its false pride. I mourn us as humans.
