Fall in Love with Your Own Life (Bold on Purpose)

I was recently asked, “If you could do anything in the world - without worrying about grades, approval, or what anyone thinks - what would you do?”
And the conversation went something like this:
“Well, do I have to pick one thing? Because I could list at least five.”
“Try to pick one.”
“Okay… maybe design clothes. Something with my hands, something creative. I’d love to build something that feels mine.”
“Don’t you already do that?”
“Fair point. Then maybe… write? I love words. I’d love to share stories that make people feel less alone.”
“And don’t you already do that too?”
I laughed. “I guess I do.”
And that’s when it hit me - maybe I’ve already been building the dream life I once thought was so far away.
Not a perfect life, not an easy one - but one that’s mine.
Finding your version of bold on purpose
Here’s the truth -
Being bold doesn’t always look like big, loud moments. Sometimes it looks like quietly choosing yourself - again and again - in small ways no one sees.
It’s saying no when something doesn’t align. It’s allowing yourself to rest without guilt. It’s sitting in a coffee shop on a Sunday, making plans that have nothing to do with expectations and everything to do with joy.
That’s what Bold On Purpose -
A Teen Girl’s Guide to Getting It Done is about—not “getting it done” in the hustle sense, but in the life sense—learning how to build something worth waking up for.
How to fall in love with your own life
Start by finding joy in the ordinary. Not the weekend kind of joy, but the everyday kind.
Sing in your car (loudly).
Get your favorite drink on Fridays.
Call someone you love while walking home.
Write notes to yourself and hide them in your bag.
These little things? They add up. They build a life that feels like you.
Create routines that make you happy
Light a candle when you shower.
Play music while cooking.
Start a creative project just because—paint, write, crochet, build, or whatever makes your soul feel alive.
The goal isn’t to fill every minute. The goal is to fill the right ones.
Get bold about your time
Ask yourself, what do I look forward to?
- What drains me?
- What would happen if I made room for more of what lights me up?
If you start small - one choice, one hour, one yes - your life slowly starts shifting toward the kind you don’t want to escape from.
A small reminder
Maybe you don’t need a total life makeover. Perhaps you need to notice what’s already beautiful - the people, the laughter, the work, and the quiet moments that feel like peace.
You might already be living your dream life. You just haven’t stopped long enough to see it.
And that, my friend, is what it means to live bold on purpose.
